We called in advance to make reservations because of the ad in the local paper where they were offering a special menu for Valentines. Made a reservation for 5 pm and showed up . instead of having a reserved table as one would expect it was seat yourself, which is only bothersome when you have a reservation because it 's Take what you get kind of setting but okay so we took the only table available , a tiny two seater. The restaurant was full by 5:15 and with no other options, we sat down. Twenty minutes after sitting the (owner) server took our drink order. Another twenty minutes later we get one of our two drinks with the explanation that they had run out of cups and even though she was not our server Our server would be with us shortly. Now it 's 5:35. Now between 5:35 and 7pm our server walked to and from the bar 15-20 times without once looking our direction. Three out of the five tables in our section had not yet been waited on. One had the couple walk out and was quickly occupied with a new couple , who also did not get any service. The table behind my husband where that couple were getting up to leave, was also quickly occupied. They were able to order, be served and eat with our table and another table still not having had any service , other than our drink. We did at 6:30 ask if we could get service but apparently we were see through. Finally at 7pm I told my husband we should try to flag someone down and pay for our soda. When we were able to get the (owner) server over to our table to tell her that we were going to leave and wanted to pay for our drink she did seem a little upset that the other server hadn 't been to our table , and told us-we didn 't have to pay for our drink .We left plenty of money on the table to pay for our drink because it was the right thing to do. We weren 't looking for a free anything . We just wanted to have a special meal to celebrate Valentine 's Day and while I appreciate the offer and will say in fairness we 've always had good service and good food in the past, it really put a huge downer on our valentines dinner. So sad really since it 's not often we are able to go out for a special meal together. I don 't think we 'll be back

A group of 11 stopped into Firewater for dinner while travelling to Sturgis. Firewater was walking distance from our hotel. Unfortunately, Firewater closes really early on a Friday night (9pm). Our group was easily seated in the lounge. During our visit karaoke was featured in the lounge. Fun free entertainment. Firewater offers a full bar. Firewater offers Happy Hour from 4pm-6pm. Firewater charges $5 to split/share a plate and $1 for take-out orders. My wife sipped on a couple double Jameson and Coke's for $9 each while I sipped on a couple Line 39 Chardonnay for $8 a glass. We shared the Pig Balls (qty 6) for $9.95: pulled pork, cream cheese, pepper Jack cheese and jalapenos. Battered and deep fried. Delish! Our main meal was the Two Meat Combo for $13.99. Our meat choices were Italian Sausage and Pulled Pork. Our side choices were Baked Beans and a Side Salad. Our least favorite item ended up being the Italian Sausage. The rest of our food was delish. Our server was friendly and efficient.

The only thing that deserves any stars here is the truly GREAT staff. My husband and I both got the two meat combo, I got ribs and pulled pork and he got ribs and brisket. The pulled pork was soaking in its own grease and looked like it had been put through a blender, probably had been sitting in a slow cooker all day, along with the ribs. There is no way this is a smokehouse. The only good thing about the meal was the baked potato. Came here because of all the good reviews... I am so confused...

Can't recall the last time seeing goulash as the soup of the day so had to go there after checking in to the motel. Very good as was the Hungover Cowboy burger. Can't wait to try other items when passing through again.
