However, I must give one star due to the host's behavior. Upon our arrival, he attempted to seat my partner and me at the bar, claiming there was no space in the main dining room. We were clearly dressed for a nice evening out and it was evident we were visitors to the area. When I declined and asked for alternative seating options, we were awkwardly placed in an empty dining area to the right. From my seat, I watched several groups of 2, 3, and 6 get seated in the main dining room, while he took their coats with ease. We had to take care of our own coats. The staff here are super friendly and the venison rack was one of the best cuts of meat I've eaten in a very long time melt in your mouth tender, juicy, and flavourfully spiced, but no so heavily that you couldn't taste the meat. And thank goodness for that, because the meat was of very high quality, and a pleasure to eat.The sourdough was also fantastic, crispy and smoky on the crust, but soft and chewy on the inside.The only complaint I have was that I expected a few more vegetables to come with the dish. There was a good variety of delicious mushrooms, but only two Brussel sprouts which was a shame because they were delicious, but I barely got a chance to enjoy them.
Best food , room and service hands down in PEC. Steak is perfect every time and the fish is also always cooked to perfection. Not talked about enough is the value on the burger! Go eat this burger, just sit st the bar and it will be your go to. 26 dollars and it's a melt in your mouth, gourmet ... juicy ... full sized tender burger. Fresh made bun, in house made aioli and fries were cooked in duck fat. Not a paper thin smash burger and not a tough puck of meat. This is fall apart deliciousness. Last week was my second visit to this restaurant and again I was very disappointed. The atmosphere was the average with annoying loud music and only a few guests.The waitress was ok.The food was average for the price we paid. The Waldorf salad was not Waldorf salad at all. It was wrongly named.The fish had no a side dish or sauce.We didn’t try desserts but given the other’s experience we didn’t miss a lot.Too pricey for the average food.I was reading the high rated reviews and believe that most of guests do not cook and do not eat well home.Total bill for 4 people: $650. Really ???
We visited this restaurant for dinner following our elopement ceremony, and two members of our group ended up being quite late, but the staff were very accommodating. We opted for the multi-course preplanned meal, and everything was delicious. Both my husband and I are vegetarian, and we thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we had, including a wonderful mushroom main course. With a group of nine, we never felt rushed between courses or after the meal. The beverages were fantastic, and by the end, everyone was satisfied and full.
We talked about coming here many times. We had heard it was good. Finally made it and so much better than good !! The ambiance, the service, the food ……. Being an ex-restauranteur, you get what you pay for. Might be a little pricier than some, but worth every penny !
