Huff Estates Winery Inn

We have tour about 80% of the wineries in the Niagara region (members of one for 6-7 years , a few around Collinwood and we 're starting to make our way around the Sandbanks region.I can say that we were impressed by the art trail on the propriety. The whole place was fairly busy. The helicopter pad and the few high ends cars in the parking lot made of feel like we were about to enter a 5 stars winery.Well the 5 stars stoped at the door and went down from there.We walked in to a nice modern ambiance. Wonderful dog friendly place and an amazing outdoor art gallery. The rooms are incredible! Only downside was that the only food offered was pizza and it was completely bland with no flavor. Has the potential to be an amazing place if they had a nice selection of food to go with the wine. Breakfast that is included was not good either. Went for breakfast around 9 and the food must have been sitting there from 7am and since it was all previously frozen hashbrowns and sausages they were shriveled and nasty. They had a waffle maker that didn't work either. Aside room the food issues, the rooms were beautiful and clean.

Did the wine sampling each…3 of us. Decided on purchase of one. Quite frankly we all felt like we were bothering “him”. Felt very rushed, and lacked the interaction you get at most wineries. My question to annoy him even more…if we purchase bottles do we pay for sample? Hospitality lack of is reason for my low rating.I whole heartedly feel if you purchase a bottle or 2, one should not have to pay for sampling. Just me I guess…

Cool hotel, great hospitality. For the last decade they have been an example of modernity in a wine region coming of age. Rhey remain one of the best places to have as your base of operations.

Beautiful sculpture garden but the staff working the cash are incredibly rude, give off a very snooty vibe that ruined the whole experience. Disappointing customer service.
