We went there last week to dine, early in the afternoon so only the lunch menu was available. This sadly is one of the places that has not yet come to grips with the fact that many people prefer to dine at lunch rather than in the evening. The lunch menu is very limited. We read the dinner menu which seemed nicer but they wouldn't let us order off the larger menu so we had the charcuterie board and the fish tacos. My jaw dropped when the "main course" the fish tacos arrived! This dish was the size of a small appetizer; certainly nothing I would consider a main course. We decided to try this place as we were of the understanding that it was a fine dining establishment. We were disapointed that it was not all that fine, with wooden bench seating and uncomfortable chairs. It appears to be the enclosed side porch of an older double bricked house. However, we were willing to give it a try. The staff were pleasant and helpful but the menu was limited and very pricey. Being a birthday dinner, with expectations of a great meal we looked past the price. We ordered our drinks and salads which both came quickly. The main meal was just ordinary, me having the steak and my partner having the chicken. Mine was good but the other was not to her liking as the vegetables...
Gave this 1 star cause checking trip advisor I was expecting a reasonably priced restaurant... it is not. It's one of those tiny portion for big bucks kinda place. I have been to pricey restaurants and have enjoyed every bite with my eyes rolling back when biting in. The food here was good, but not worth the price, my lobster was the size of a shrimp. And it looked like shrimp too...The staff were absolutely amazing attentive and friendly what you would expect of a high end restaurant presentation was about 3.5 stars.Atmosphere: well maintained and classy... but did not match food prices.Please change the money symbol to $$$$ so perspective patrons know ahead of time what their getting into
Drank local beer and local wine, whilst sitting on a sunny patio, with friends. What a great afternoon.The menu strikes one as being limited, at first. The you realise that they've put a great deal of thought into each dish on the menu. I encourage you to try something different, that you wouldn't normally select. And the house made/local charcouterie is highly recommended. Réservez une table maintenant
Must say The Hubb was quite pricey, however the food was very good! Loved the steak tartar, scallops, steak, etc. Did find the sauce on the scallops a bit on the salty side, however when we mentioned same to waitress, the cook sent us a sampling of their desserts which were absolutely delicious! My compliments to the chef as well as their extremely pleasant wait staff!
Went for dinner at The Hubb last Friday evening and got to enjoy a seat on their patio. Our waiter was so nice and attentive and took the time to recommend other places to visit during our stay. The food was fantastic and they had a great selection of local wines. Our whole experience there was wonderful and we highly recommend a meal there!
