the first time here and I was not disappointed! the only thing I would change is the fact that they have the same song on repetition and I was there for an hour in a half! it was great so that the song became quite annoying. but we laughed about it! oh, me! oh my mine! I ordered the pick 3 appetizer platter with fried pickles, fried green tomatoes and hush puppies. all were amazing and my favorite were the fried green tomaten! soou good! we also ordered the dunken catfish with dirty rice instead of white, side of the red beans and rice, a combo plate with darkened crust and dirty rice, and used a crust cake! have loved everything! we moved here from louisiana so that it could sound like a good place to try. it was worth the trip. Baked green tomato, wels, red bean rice and bananenpudding were all better than anything I had in louisiana! the staff was friendly and there was a constant flow of people who come to eat or to pick up, take appendages. you can always say if a restaurant has good food when the amount of people eat there. the prices are reasonable. the food was delicious! we will definitely go back.

I was randomly craving jambalaya so I searched and found this place. Wasn’t expecting it but they blew me away. On their recommendation? I tried the Joliet rouge and gumbo and it was amazing. My only complaint was that I was too full after eating to try the beignets and coffee which I’m sure are great. Highly recommended without hesitation

The staff was above and beyond nice and caring. We had 20+ people with separate checks and that didn’t throw ‘em a bit. It was delicious and even though on the complete opposite side of the metro from me, I live in east Mesa I am still planning this to be a normal location to eat for me!
