If one is a true beer lover in New Jersey, one must pay tribute to the granddaddy of all NJ breweries: Flying Fish. There has been an explosion of local breweries opening in the last ten years here in the Garden State, but Flying Fish paved the way for every single one of them by opening up way back in 1995 when it only sold beers online. A year later it opened the doors of its first physical location, and the rest is history. You've likely seen their beers in your local liquor store. Maybe you've sampled their excellent Exit Series (though they don't seem to make these anymore? . But it's nice to make the pilgrimage to their taproom and brewery in Somerdale. My girlfriend and I stopped by y...

I didn 't even want to give a rating because the 3 times I have tried to go here it has been closed for a private event. I 've tried to go here because I do hear great things but there is no communication on whether or not they are closed for private events on the website or their social medias. Kind of crazy that they can 't post a simple story on Instagram saying Closed for private event but just have a chalk board at the front door letting you know. They really need to look into hiring a better social media handler because driving 20-30 minutes just to find out your nights plans have to be completely revised sucks. We 'll just stick to Double Nickel and Spellbound from now on.

Great selection of beers. My favorite was the Salt and Sea! They actually ran out of it on tap the day we were there, and then they offered can pours of it. It was Father's Day weekend and the bartender was so nice and gave the dads a free one. It's nice and big inside and they have lots of outdoor picnic tables. They also had a giant connect four game outside. There was live music the afternoon we visited Aaron Hehl and John Dutton they played a great set! It was such a nice day out so we opted to stay for dinner and order delivery from G&G Pizzeria nearby.

Came here on a Wednesday afternoon in the middle of January with a few friends. Admittedly, not an overtly typical time. But it provided what we needed a chill place to catch up and chat, play a card game, drink a few beers. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beers were solid, no complaints (which is how I've felt about Flying Fish beers for the past decade, more or less). They had just tapped a hazy double IPA that morning, and it was surprisingly good. BYO food/snacks, as are many breweries in South Jersey. A good place to hang out for a few hours

Flying Fish has really upped its game recently. Went there a few weeks ago for a work event; the managers have done a great job diversifying the beer menu. Not everyone wants to drink a triple IPA every time out, or a chocolate porter in the middle of the Summer. Kudos to the new and improved F.F.!!!

Love Flying Fish. They are the only local brewery that sells kegs at a reasonable price. Abbey Dubbel for under $70. One of the best local beers and the price is great. All of the others, either don't sell or inflate the prices. FFF. Flying Fish Forever. On my way now to get a keg.

Great beer, spacious tasting room. Dan our bartender was hustling like a pro! Our other bartender Lea Ann gave me a clean, friendly looking coaster which made made us feel welcome. Great service and went above and beyond.

Excellent tasting room. They had about 12 beers on tap when I was there. The three that I had were excellent. Simple decor, concrete floor with picnic tables. Has outdoor seating also.

I was there tonight for comedy night. It was a horrible experience. Stay away. I can't even begin to explain how poorly we were treated
