we were last week in lucern and eating fondue in the Swiss was on my bucket list. I had a few suggestions that were given to me, and I mentioned them the woman who checked us into the hotel. she said she preferred fondue house. We visited Lucerne in the Summer and this is off season for fondue, so we didn't have lots of options to pick from. We came across Fondue House Du Pont after reading some online reviews and I'm so pleased this is where we chose. We had a fabulous view from our seat on the balcony, overlooking the river and Chapel Bridge. There was lots of choice for fondue, I went with goat cheese and it was amazing! They don't skimp on potatoes or bread, we struggled to get through it and definitely wouldn't have needed to ask for more. The waitress who served us was fantastic. We had cheese and chocolate fondue here. The cheese fondue is okay. The choc fondue is delicious. The place is very cramped and unpleasant. Lighting is horrible, looks like in an old abandoned haunted house. If you 're only coming here for food and not for the atmosphere or vibes, then it is fine. This isn 't a posh restaurant but truly a place to sit, eat the food and go! There is a wide selection of fondue including Chinese fondue and Asian food. it was such a great night! her Chesefondue is literally amazing! you really feel like closing the eyes and eating every bite. the chocolate foundry is also very beautiful. and the cherry on the top is the service- the waitress is very nice and their make sure their whole experience is pleasant. would definitely recommend for those who try the foundry for the first time! amazing place to call this delicious Swiss dish “Friendue” they have a very long menu of traditional to new aromes. the service was amazingly very friendly many of the staff can speak English, Portuguese and other languages. please save space for chocolate fondue.

Fantastic experience. We were received with great affection by Maria Ferreira, a kind Portuguese woman whose attention and affection we fell in love with. The fondues she recommended were delicious, we were very satisfied.

The food was delicious. We had cheese, meat and chocolate fondue. They were all tasty. Plus there are a lot of side dishes that are included. It was far too much food for us, but an enjoyable visit. I’d go back again.
