We have the name of this almosis in the Tourist Information Office in Maria Alm. We found it by switching off the southern 311 just outside Saalfelden on a shield to Biberg. We drove up the road that turned into a route and then turned to the left on a sign to Forsthofalm. It lies at an altitude of 1120 meters. We parked on the side of the building and entered as a barn looked. We were greeted by the owner and shown in the dining area, consisting of two ten seat tables and a table for two and an old fashion series. We came to four others and were introduced with Späkasbrot, a deep fried pancake that was eaten with cranberry jam. We had cheese dumping soup and pork and sauerkraut followed by...
We got the name of this alm at the Tourist Information Office in Maria Alm. We found it by turning off the southbound 311 just outside Saalfelden at a signpost to Biberg. We drove up the road which turned into a track and then turned off left at a sign to Forsthofalm. It is at a height of 1120 metres. We visit Forsthofalm every year a number of timers. Please note that this is the cabin in Saalfelden and not the one at Leogang. The views are only magic and Hilda is a very pleasant host. They do not serve your beer very cold, but this is only a small inconvenience. The cake and the plates they offer are great.
