Firsty, I must say the staff and service are always wonderful however, when our daughter returned from living in the UK the first meal she requested was the wonderful Chicken Schnitzel & Mushroom sauce at Club Totem. Unfortunately it no longer exists ! Yes it is still on the menu but for some unknown reason they have changed the recipe. 3 of our party of seven ordered the schnitzel and all were so disappointed. Also the fish & chips was bland and tasted frozen. We tried again a couple of weeks later hoping it was just a one off but still awful. Please Club Totem bring back the original recipe of your staples. Good to have specials but the old favourites are what bring us back time and again....
After moving very close to the club earlier this year,we were quite eager to try the restaurant.We have now been there 3 times and can absolutely confirm that in our opinion the food is generally mediocre,there is no ambience and the staff need better training.How is it that so many cafes in Manly can turn out wonderful food with amazing service whilst being extremely busy and this club can't get it right when the restaurant is usually very quiet? We will not eat there again and find it very puzzling to read previous glowing reviews-did these people eat at the same place??
Went with a few friends for a lunch time catch up. All the meals were delicious and great value - roast of the day, garlic prawns, beef stroganoff and the hamburger. The let down was the nachos which I had unfortunately ordered for my daughter. The menu needs a warning in big red letters about how chilli HOT the meal is. I like chilli and I couldn't eat more than 3 mouthfuls of it, my 8yr old had no hope. Sorry chefs but it wasn't even remotely close to nachos. A big letdown and waste of money, it went back to the kitchen virtually untouched.
My family and I now dine here regularly as it is value for money and they cater for children. Plus there is a lot of space for the stroller and that's a bonus! The specials are the best and we recently enjoyed the steak with soft shell crab and scallops. Heavenly. Wine list is ok and the bottle prices are good. Better even if you're a member. The service is friendly and parking in stocklands then Getting a lift directly up to the restaurant is just perfect.

Caters mainly for the elderly. Always has the sport on, good pokie room and tab up the back. New chef. Totem Burger was very good. Love pickle in a burger. Juicy perfectly cooked beef. Chips nice and the side of slaw was a cracker. I'm sure the chef stuffed up the slaw as I have never tasted anything like it. Very peppery almost chilli. But was **** beautiful. Everyone is friendly.
Have been a few times and a bit hit and miss. Back for the 1st time in a few months.Really noticed the food was much nicer, so too were the staff today.Will go back again as a member you receive a voucher for a return visit...50% off the second meal at lunch.Hope the next time is as good
The menu needs more variety. It gets really boring if you eat there often as there is not enough choice. The food is mostly good but just a bit boring. There needs to be more specials. The staff are friendly and helpful and it could be great with a bit more creativity.
Enjoyed a meal with friends recently. All of our meals were tasty, well presented and good value. Met the new chef Tim and his team who were attentive, friendly and courteous. Well done Club Totem, we'll be back.

Monday night is $12 steak night so with friends we headed down for a light dinner. For a club a good quiet dining area and a good meal selection. Steaks with chips and salad. Better than tou average club meal.
Had the roast dinner and burger meal here last night both were excellent . Congratulations to the chefs on duty 31/5/2016. Will definitely return soon.
