I want to start by saying that this restaurant is both beautiful and comfortable, making for a pleasant atmosphere, especially during a quiet late lunch. The service staff is outstanding, and they have some unique specialties that are quite enjoyable, particularly the sodas. Some of the classics, like the cornbread, were also really nice. However, I was quite surprised to receive a sandwich that seemed unfit to leave the kitchen. I considered sending it back, but we were pressed for time, and it wasn't a feasible option. As a result, I had to make do with what I could. Unfortunately, the white bread tasted stale, as if it had been sitting out in the open air or in the fridge for far too long...
Tried the “Cauliflower steak” that was supposed to be served with a glaze mushroom risotto. Server told me they can’t make the risotto vegan. Also couldn’t make the seasonal autumn veggie side vegan since its premixed with a honey glaze. I opted for a plain sweet potato. Had a chance to talk to the manager about extending their vegan options (Why not make the risotto vegan? It’s easy! and he told me in passing that even their “Impossible” meatloaf dish has cheese in it. He did say they’re looking into more vegan options but for now.. solid 3 star merely for the effort. They’re SO close, but not.
Update June 2023: I returned for a work event and was quite disappointed. While vegetarians might find a few acceptable options, vegans will struggle. The restaurant heavily emphasizes its meat offerings and proudly markets itself as a premium meat establishment. I really don’t think it belongs on Happy Cow. They only had one vegan entree, which was an overpriced $20 head of poorly cooked cauliflower with little seasoning and limited sauce. The menu may have changed, but I'm not sure. This is an update from my previous review on March 25, 2023.
Despite the meatless part of the menu, almost nothing is vegan. What 's worst, the menu doesn 't include any labels to differentiate between vegetarian and vegan. Not vegan are the Impossible meatloaf, roasted vegetables and avocado sandwich (even if you take out the cheese), meatless spaghetti squash Pomodoro. We ended up having to order the impossible burger and cauliflower steak. The cauliflower steak was good, but it was just a big head of cauliflower seasoned for $18 . Next time our friends recommend going I 'll be suggesting elsewhere.

I made a reservation for 4 PM, and we were seated right away. The service was quite good, although it took a while to get our drinks refreshed—it almost felt like our server might have been on a break. The food was delicious, as always, and we appreciated the server's honesty about some dishes that would take longer to prepare, so we adjusted our order accordingly. We will definitely return!
Surprisingly with lots of meatless choices, they only have limited vegan options. Things have to be “made” vegan. Although staff is nice and knowledgeable, I wish they had things they were already vegan. They serve the impossible burger make sure you ask for the vegan bun.
The restaurant offered a fantastic variety of menu options. The service was outstanding, and our food was served promptly. Each dish was delicious. Our server, Jonah, was polite and attentive throughout our meal.

The Garlic Black Pepper Wings were fantastic. The Purple Black Kale Salad with salmon was also excellent; the salmon was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right.
Chrissy was exceptional—extremely friendly and fun! The steak frites were also amazing.
