Absolutely disgusted with this place!! Arrived for our reserved table on time to be told they had given it away to a coach party! They seated us then made us wait whilst they sorted another table for our party of 8. Drinks were ordered and 5 of us were served while 3 of us had to wait until we reminded a waiter they had no drinks. We then asked if we could order from the kids menu for our 2 15 year olds who were with us and Cath who is not a big eater. We were told we were not allowed to order from kids menu as its only for up to 11 years old. Our food started to arrive at 9.25pm and 15 minutes later at 9.40 some of us were still waiting. When we arrived, our reservation was completely overlooked, leaving us waiting at the desk without any acknowledgment. The staff seemed indifferent to our booking and directed us to wait in the bar area before quickly stepping outside. Despite the restaurant being half full, we were still left waiting at the bar, where the bartender didn’t even take our drink orders—something that would have made the wait more comfortable. After about 10 minutes, one staff member mentioned a table was being cleared at the front, only for another to seat us at a different table in the back, making us feel more like a hassle than valued guests. The delivery was timely, but there was a lack of care in the pizza preparation. I ordered a döner pizza, but it looked like a plain cheese pizza with a lot of meat simply scattered on top rather than integrated during cooking. It seemed like the pizza was cooked longer than the meat, which affected the texture—if the döner meat had been placed halfway through baking, it might have been crispier. That said, the food tastes decent. I also tried the carbonara pasta, which was good, although it could have used a bit more sauce.
As a group of four, we planned to spend over £100, yet we were made to feel like we were not a priority. Thankfully, once seated, the service improved and we were able to enjoy our meals without any issues. We were also able to take advantage of a student discount, saving us 25% off our bill, which was a nice surprise. However, more attention to first impressions is definitely needed at this restaurant, as it almost led one of my companions to consider leaving before we even ordered.

I ordered delivery today and it arrived very quickly. The food was incredible - the fish I ordered was perfectly cooked and my partner loved the chicken pasta so much he keeps asking me to order again! Fountain Park Fry is definitely a must-try and I will be ordering from them again. I would give them a perfect 10 out of 10 rating.
While I dont expect amazing service, I do expect to be acknowledged when I walk in and some form of service. The staff crowd around the bar in an effort to decide what they're going to order for dinner rather than doing anything productive. After no sign of anyone coming to take a drink order, we just left.
I had always walked past Fountain Park Fry but never tried it—big mistake! I ordered the fish and chips along with a hot dog. The fish was excellent, with a crispy batter and fresh flavor. The owner was very warm and welcoming. I absolutely love this place and will definitely be coming back for more!
I’ve ordered delivery from Fountain Park Fry several times and have always been satisfied with the food. Today, I visited in person and the service was incredibly friendly. The meal was excellent as usual, freshly prepared right in front of us. Definitely a 10/10—highly recommend!
