I recently relocated to the zone 1/2 area of Walworth, also known as Elephant and Castle to those from North London, in search of affordable rent in a central location. As a trendy individual (or perhaps seen as a gentrifying individual to some), I sought out cozy cafes where I could indulge in reading about post-communist countries and share mundane updates about an abandoned scooter.
The coffee is excellent, the pastries are delicious, and the sandwiches are freshly made. Despite its small size, the restaurant has a lot of charm. The staff are friendly and likeable, and the prices are reasonable for the high quality coffee and fresh sourdough sandwiches. There is a lovely outdoor terrace where you can relax in a peaceful location away from the nearby busy road.
We visited the restaurant yesterday while carrying heavy luggage and feeling exhausted. Although the establishment is small, they offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options made with high-quality ingredients and served quickly. The staff, especially the girls, were very friendly and accommodating.
Been popping into this small coffee shop alone during the week and with a group of friends after park runs on Saturdays. Every time, it appears that the staff are becoming more and more arrogant, not dedicated and do not want our business. Réservez une table maintenant
Fowlds has amazing food, great staff and a lovely atmosphere. It's our favourite cafe in Camberwell, perfect for a quick and relaxed coffee or a yummy breakfast/lunch. It's tiny but we always get a seat.
This restaurant is a charming and very welcoming place for dogs, and the breakfast is fantastic. However, I was disappointed with the lack of service and friendliness of the staff.
The sandwiches at this restaurant are absolutely delicious, with thick slices of fresh sourdough bread and a filling of ham, cheese, and a fantastic chutney.
The coffee wasn't as good as I remembered, I'm not sure what kind of milk they used. The bread was delicious. It's too bad they were out of chutney. Réservez une table maintenant
Nice little coffee shop with extra helping and kind staff. They serve very tasty coffee and the sweets are very delicious. Raccomend.
