Food soooo good and an imaginative menu especially the crab salad and the cauliflower and chestnut soup starters. The Festival Crumble was none too shabby. And the turkey was actually moist. The staff were very attentive without hovering and dealt promptly with everything we raised with them. Nothing sinister: “What is the sauce with the crab salad? Could we have another drink, please? Extra cutlery because we want to share the pudding and the cheese board.” Very relaxed atmosphere and no sense we were overstaying our welcome on this especially busy day. I had been to the Fox and Hounds several years ago, so I had high expectations for the food. However, I was really disappointed this time. My steak was tough and cold, the chips were like rubber, and the salad was small and slimy. For dessert, I had three scoops of ice cream, but only the chocolate had any real flavor. I was in a group of 11 people, and my husband's pie had a thick, inedible pastry. My nephew's fish from the fish and chips was so overcooked that it was also inedible. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I will not be going back.
This was a truly lovely experience. Myself 3 family members had an amazing Christmas lunch drinks. We were seated at table 47 which was decorated including crackers a card from the staff. All 3 courses were delicious the food was of extremely good quality, particularly the meat seafood. The wines were excellent too. All the staff were friendly attentive made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend this for those wanting a stress free enjoyable Christmas lunch, so thank you to all the staff see you again soon.
Wow, let’s just start by saying the food was amazing! Not only that, service was top tip excellent. The waitress was kind, friendly and went above and beyond for us. To find out she was a team leader, she should definitely be a manager. Looked so professional, amazing at her job. To find out she is was doing an apprenticeship at the fox hounds. Can’t thank alexia enough. Even asked for her name to praise her for her wonderful experience.

The overall experience at Fox and Hounds was marred by remarkably slow service. From the outset, after receiving our initial drinks, we were left unattended for an extended period. Despite being there for three hours, our waiter was notably absent, failing to check on our needs or offer additional drinks. This lack of attention significantly impacted the overall enjoyment of the evening, leaving us disappointed with the overall service.
Had lunch out with family and friends to at the Fox and Hounds in Peterborough, 5 of us were welcomed and seated on good time, service was very good, and I would just like to say there is no where in Peterborough serving a better Gammon steak and I have tried quite a lot, gammon was thick and chunky, pineapple was not just a ring but thick cut and chargrilled grilled, well done guys keep up the good work.
The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, the atmosphere is quiet for a pleasant dining experience, the menu is extensive, and the prices are reasonable. An added bonus is the availability of good car parking.
Had a lovely family brunch, portions were a good size and we received excellent service from Tommy. Decent options for the kids and adults. Great way to start the day and will definitely be returning.

I had a fantastic Christmas Day dinner at this restaurant. The service and atmosphere were excellent, and the staff were really attentive. Even my dog enjoyed the experience.
The sauce that came with the garlic bread was absolutely amazing and the services was so good I had to leave a review. Excellent!
