Shame as we have previously enjoyed F&H…Today we waited approximately 50 minutes for our food and it was really quiet in there. My food was cold when it finally made it to the table but we didn’t have time to complain after that long. It looked untidy today and bits of the wall were falling off.. I appreciate it’s an old building but it still needs upkeep. Staff were nice enough but they seemed preoccupied with their chats rather than cleaning down or getting food out. Every now and then there was an awful smell too… Anyway we’ve come home feeling sick and have no intention of returning. Sad really as such a quiet pub in a rural location needs to work really hard to keep custom and unfortunately it’s lacking just that. I don’t like writing negative reviews but if it makes them up their game then I think it’ll be a good thing.
we recently found a lot and found it difficult to find a place that serves good eating at all days. I haven't been here for a long time and thought it was worth a try. menu had a great choice and eating was not disappointed. they would recommend the black bauch! would come back without hesitation! many thanks for a great
