We dined at Foxy on a Monday night. The place was packed. Despite having a reservation we opted to sit at the bar. We prefer dialogue with our server. The place is fairly dimly light with a long bar area, tables opposite and an open kitchen. Decibel level is fairly high but that's OK as everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. It is a good looking crowd and it is fairly tight to manoeuvre. The menu is not huge. Maybe six apps and six mains. No sides. They do have oysters. We opted to share one starter plus two mains. And as you likely know everything comes out of a woodturning oven. We started with a flatbread with homemade buffalo mozzarella, zucchini blossoms and I think mushrooms. It was quite modest and although satisfying did not have much of a wow factor for $22. This was maybe our only weak experience. The mains consisted of gnocchi and a flank steak with burnt onions and a tomato salad. We immensely enjoyed the flavour profile of both mains. At first I thought I would miss a starch with the meat but the tomatoes were perfect for summer dining. Only sweets for dessert, no cheese.Service at the bar was excellent by Tyler. Engaging and making his guests feel comfortable. Although he works only two nights he is an asset behind the bar.We wanted to try different wines so rather than ordering a bottle we had six glasses. After tax and before tip our bill was $205.

Best meal of a 5-day trip to Montreal. The feta and peaches appetizer was probably one of my top 5 dishes of all time. fantastic waiter who was charming and informative, lovely wines, great dishes, brilliant desserts. My only minor complaint was the Coquelet, which was somewhat difficult to maneuver on the table- it was challenging to cut off the bone in a small space. Otherwise a wonderful, mouthwateringly good meal.

A beautiful space in hopping Griffintown. Warm and attentive service and a good wine list. Food was good but not great. My starter--homemade feta--was sublime but the gnocchi were extremely heavy and in a buttery sauce. Overkill. Would go back and order 2 entrees instead...More

Limited menu but high quality food and bar. Its a small restaurant so sitting at the bar is common. A little heavy on the salt on some items but would return here for sure.
