I had a bad experience at Foxy's. After a disappointing lunch with my friends, I will not be returning. The food was nicely presented but arrived cold, the customer service was poor, and the cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking. The menu had a good selection of options, but based on other reviews, it seems like excuses are made for mistakes, which I find unprofessional. I do not recommend this place.
I visited today for a late lunch with my friend who lives in Penarth. We both had a delicious meal accompanied by a lovely bottle of wine. I had the feta and spinach dish with pea and mint fritters and my friend the burger from the specials board. We scoffed the lot! Clean plates all round. The service from the owner was lovely as always along with her staff. We'll be back soon. Thanks again x
Dreadful service. First i was overcharged by £22.50. Told there was a wait of20-25 minutes. 45 minutes later after chasing food arrived and our order was wrong. Told it was manic today. If they can’t cope with the covers in the restaurant they should not take the orders. Wont be going there again. With 3 young children 45 minutes is a lifetime
Lovely little deli/cafe in Penarth. We called in for a breakfast and did a small 'create your own ' where you can have 4 items for £5.95. They had a few different items like Glamorgan sausage and tasty little fritters. All the staff were lovely and service was very good. We would definitely have this as a regular haunt if we lived local. Réservez une table maintenant
On arrival we we told no hot food as the oven was broken. We decided to have the last piece of quiche between us which came with salad and coleslaw and 2 pots of tea total £15.00 Nice tea average quiche. Need more staff queue at the till was long and slow.
The food at this restaurant is fresh with good portion sizes. The tea is delightful, especially with fresh honey. The atmosphere is warm, the staff is very attentive, and the restaurant is clean. There is also a great selection of food from Cardiff.
Good quality, good choice, good value, friendly staff. What's not to like? Bacon, egg, tomatoes, avacado on sour dough was delicious, as was the breakfast omelette. Caters for non-gluten.

"Popped in at 2.15 pm on a quiet Friday- asked very unfriendly landlady if we could play darts- she refused saying it is only for darts team to use and that tables were booked. Only table used was no where near the dart board."
