We've dined here multiple times and have never had a disappointing experience. The food is spot-on for an authentic Italian restaurant, and the decor is stunning. The table-side service is excellent, making it a classy and reliable choice—perfect for impressing a date. The food is outstanding, especially the Insalata Frutti di Mare appetizer, which is fantastic. Franina Restaurant, located in Syosset, NY, is a five-star establishment serving fine Italian cuisine. They offer a prix fixe menu, an extensive wine list, as well as takeout and catering services.
I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was exceedingly poor, and the food was served cold and dry. Despite there only being four tables occupied, we had to wait an hour before our service began, and then another hour between courses. I had to request silverware and ask for someone to pour our wine, which was not even kept on the table—I would have poured it myself otherwise. It's unfortunate to say, but this visit was truly terrible.
In the first picture, you can see the lobster seafood salad we ordered for Thanksgiving dinner. The wine room hosts regular dinners and can also be reserved for private parties. They offer a parking service as well. Plus, they boast an impressive Italian wine list stored in their massive wine cellar.
Don’t miss the zucchini flowers as an appetizer—they are an absolute must-try. Regardless of what you choose from the menu, you won't be disappointed.
I came to Easter for the first time. The Halibut oreganata was delicious! My mother often comes here and told me that her fish is the freshest and the best she ever had. I ordered the Tiramisu for Dessert and loved it. I recommend coming here. And the service is great. They all go beyond and beyond for you.

We had an incredible dining experience at Franina to celebrate my son's commitment. The restaurant itself is stunning, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely outstanding! If you're searching for a special place to truly appreciate fine dining, Franina is the perfect choice!
I finally made it to the restaurant after years of wanting to go, and now I'm regretting that I waited so long! The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and the wine selection was great. We really loved the cozy, intimate seating!
I've dined there multiple times, and the food and ambiance are exceptional—truly one of the best restaurants I've ever experienced. I also had them cater a party, and it turned out to be a tremendous success.
Celebrating my daughter and son in law's wedding covid style ! Small immediate family only and utterly fantastic food and service !!! Wonderful atmosphere and class from all who work here !! BRAVO !!!

Great food and great service. Octopus was tender and tasty. Same for the lamb chops. Fig appetizer makes a great start, and the tartuffe was surprisingly good (and rich). Great place.
