Frannys Bistro - Réservation de table

Crab cakes were wonderful on a artful plate. Also had duck confit with a lovely crisp skin with a nice arugula salad with pear and orange sections. Most times the duck skin on these type of dishes aren't crisp, BUT..... Franny's does it right with crispy skin and moist duck meat. If you are a lighter eater and a duck lover this dish would be ideal. Halibut was so fresh and cooked to perfection with a light sauce, with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. We shared the Chocolate terrine, always a nice finish to have a few bites chocolate as we finished the last of our wine. As we looked around all we saw was happy diners with clean plates. Better finish with their chocolate terrine, look for that brittle in the cream. We got lucky even if our reservation was for 5:15 because you can't get in here during ‘The Season'. It's packed. So they really do make good grits! Which works great with their shrimp and grits, but my favorite is the mussels and scallops over grits. Big wine list but rather small selection by the glass. And of course they make a very good cocktail there. We continue to go back because it's very good food with a very attentive staff in a nice warm quiet space.

Dinner at Frannys was the highlight of our visit to Camden. The atmosphere was wonderful, casual but elegant and perfect. Our waiter was attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was the best we had our whole trip and we ate at many places during our 6 day trip. I would go back to Camden just to experience Frannys again!

The food was not what I expected. The linguine was too salty. The Cesar salad was warm, mushy and the croutons were soggy. Another guest whistled the whole last half an hour we sat there. It was disappointing after the great reviews I read.Food: 3/5 Réservez une table maintenant

Best restaurant in Maine. The food and service are outstanding. The Chef is amazing. Our favorites include: duck confit salad, scallops mussels, ribs, swordfish, and rack of lamb.

The best service. The best most interesting food. The best wine. The best ambience. We sat out on the enclosed patio. Not at all like a picnic venue. Beautifully decorated.

Great evening at Frankie's. Both of our entrees were memorable: scallops and mussels, and rack of lamb. Lobster fritter appetizer was wonderful too. Highly recommend.

Wonderful service by a charming Bosnian waitress. The food was delicious- Shrimp and grits and swordfish.
