The restaurant has come a few years. But whoever loves this ambiance is here. Food is available at affordable prices. The portions are sufficiently large, the taste is very, very good. Various dishes that are not found everywhere. Reservations are welcome. Small outer surface next to the parking lot. Transport is, fortunately, within limits. In a few minutes you will find the cathedral and the old Main Bridge. We can highly recommend the restaurant.
There are vegan dishes on the map in the Franciscan and a vegan menu after the season with appetizer, main dish and dessert. My girls gave me that for my birthday. I didn't know that and was surprised how good and tasty that was. I was there several times and was always very satisfied with my vegan options. Well, if you want to eat with family as a vegan, the good Franconian home cooking.
I can't say anything about the rooms of this hotel. But the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. There are good German cuisine, nothing overcanned but very tasty, cooked with good ingredients and really something special. The quality is reflected in the prices, but this is really worth it. Paken can be hired directly in front of the house on public parking with parking ticket.
Most restaurants in the centre of Wurzburg close on Sunday evening so it was a nice surprise to find Franziskaner open. We sat outside, looking across the square to the church. The waitress was friendly and gave us menus in English. The food was a...variation on the standard Bavarian fare, and our dishes were all cooked well. I'd be happy to return. We had a nice meal here. My german isn't great and we struggled to translate the menu so ended up going with what we understood. However it was a nice meal. The service was good and it was nice to eat outside in a quiet...area. Not too expensive either!
