Menu has recently changed and we went back for brunchService is pretty good - drinks up front and quick to return for order. Coffees are still v high quality and well prepared.Food items are significantly different. Ordered the French toast which arrived and looked beautiful. However it was tainted with something that was very bitter. When raised, the response was that this was the brioche bread. 4 of us tasted and all found the same thing. We then ordered the hotcakes again visually amazing. Taste was good but was very crumbly and hard to get on a fork. Shortly after another French toast appeared despite not being orderedFood has always been not outstanding here which is a shame. Good locat...
The place was not busy when we arrived - maybe three tables were occupied. It still took quite a few minutes before we were shown to a table. The barista standing at the front of the restaurant, not serving anyone, could easily have greeted us with a hello and the waitress will be with you shortly, but chose not to. (This echoes an earlier experience several months ago, when all we wanted was a coffee, albeit there were many more people on that occasion.) Having said that, once seated, the service was prompt and the food was good. The speed of food service was significantly better than getting a table! Perhaps guests just need to be as equally laid back when dining here!
And as for the coffee.............let's not even go there.This place seems to do well, but I have no idea why. We've tried it out about 3 times now since they've opened, keep hoping that it'll improve, but it doesn't. We have no idea why they do well, the service is so, so, the coffee is just plain awful and the food, very very average.I think it's a case of 3 strikes and they're out now.
Worst meal I've tasted in a long time. We were a large party and over half couldn't eat our meals. Other half ordered the mezza platter and still had not received it all by the time we were leaving. ( and we were not hurrying) No apology and still expected to pay the full amount. It totally ruined what was meant to be a family reunion.

My 2 year old and I popped in for a late lunch on Saturday. The girls serving us were just lovely. We shared the souvlaki plate and the entree calamari. Both were awesome. Great spot. Would love to bring hubby along. Lots of people having a chilled arvo with a wine/coffee - will definitely try again.
Long time for food to arrive - mine had been sitting on the bench waiting for the other meals to be prepared thus it was cold when I get it also noticed chef placing salad on plate with no tongs - just her bare hands! I dint eat the salad!
Waited to be shown a table, waited for our coffees, waited to pay, then they seemed to blame us that they couldn't find the bill. Too much excellent choice in Concord to bother with Frappe again.
Unfortunately despite the the reasonable coffee the food and staff always seem to look underwhelming Even to pay the bill it seems the waitstaff don't even know what's going on

Restaurant seems to do well but unsure why. Service seems scattered and poor. Food average. Have visited several times and nothing has improved. Nice location.
Had a very enjoyable lunch and coffee If we lived closer we would go often It is just a shame there is not more inside seats for cold days
