I hate to admit it, but the burgers here are better than Culver's across the way. And I say that as a fan of that chain's food. Even the cheese curds here are a bit better, thanks to a flatter breading that is not quite as rough as Culver's. The fries are shoestring and lightly seasoned. The fry sauce is rather bland, but the jalapeno version has some bite, thankfully. The hot dog and chili fries weren't bad, either, but I don't think I'd make a special trip here for either of them. Sweet tea was pretty bad. Service was pretty good. Inside it's quite loud and echo-y so every toddler in there is screaming just to hear their voices. Ugh. Overall, not a bad burger place. The menu is small but they seem to do the few things they have well. I didn't get to try the custard but a family member had a shake and said it also beat Culver's for flavor, so there's that.
I know it's sad to say, but here it is. This is my first time to Freddy's! So glad I did it! I enjoyed the ambience as this old time has set up Back to the Future Ice Cream Shop! OMG on their hamburgers! If I say the best beef in town?? I know I said this about Culver and I know I said this about Back 40 Beer Coompany, but Freddy has a TOP Beef!? It took a while to get my order, what was regrettable, but man was worth it, the wait!? The ice was good too! She's a great hostess! I'll be back soon???
I was at Helena's location twice. The service is terrible. For the first time we waited for our implementation for 30 minutes. The second visit was thru. We waited for 1 hour and twenty minutes. If we were gone, we would have, but once you're in the line, you can't get out until you're almost in the window because there's a concrete barrier. Of course we won't go back. The food is great, but the service is terrible.
