Freds Mexican Cafe Kihei

I forgot Mexicans this evening because I have eaten seafood or fish since I am here, but the Calamari Tacos have caught my eye, good choice. It is rare and almost expected that Squid even a little chewing gum, but that was very delicate under its ceiling of the Panko crumb crust. A delicious blend of cabbage and other hearty aromas made this taco a winner, accompanied by black bean and rice. Get some Guacamole as a page for a great addition to the Taco and finish the basket of tortilla chip. The staff was friendly and fun to check the room with lots of decor and time to see the sunset great time.

We originally planned to go to Luau on this last Tuesday night that we were in Maui, then we realized that it was “Tacolicious Tuesday” at Fred’s Mexican Cafe, so we made the decision to try the Luau next time, we are here and go to Fred’s. Fred's Mexican cafe is located directly opposite the Kamaole Beach Park II. We had to wait a bit, but we got a pager that was informed when our table was ready.

Great tacos. Great atmosphere. The Ahi Tuna Tacos were delish. Good portion size. Server was thoughtful and fast. Sat at a table overlooking the sea. Come on.

Nice scenery, fair prices, good for breakfast. Right across from the beach. I want to come back in the evening and try our some of the happy hour specials.

I love Freds... honestly, when I come back to Maui, I'll try to stay as close as I can to Fred's. Better Mexican food than I found in Mexico
