at the end of a nice walk around the lake we gave a snack in this refuge with typical Austrian cuisine. The local was very crowded (outside) given the simplicity to reach it through the bus service that from lech leads to the formarinsee and after having made the tour of the lake on foot you climb up to the refuge (about 40/45 min.) wanting you can turn back to lech on foot with a walk of about 3 1/2 hours (downhill) given the great number of people (August high season) the staff is committed to the maximum to satisfy the customers Let's say the view helps in the wait. however remains a must if you are on holiday at lech.
during a one-week hike in the mountain range of the leech springs, we spent one night on the mountain hut. it is a large hut in beautiful location with modern room camps. here you really have enough space to sleep. The food was mixed: the evening menu was unfortunately only moderate. the sweet whirlpool was simply too dry and the suppe too salty. the nut pudding was good, just like the sausages with herb and potatoes. there were delicious bread and rolls, home baked yeast, homemade jams, tasty mice, juice, organic agitation, good cheese etc., which was reconciled with the evening meal.
cozy alpenhütte despite massive tourist tower. we were only for eating there, sometimes not in the suppe but as a main dish with salad was delicious. the ascent of dalaas is very sporty; as a tip to not have to go the lay away from the place to the entrance of the "Stebok-Wäg", a farmer allows to park on his yard against a small escape. from there are the specified 2.5 hours up to the hut and from the hut you have chosen the great view over the formarinsee to the red wall (as the most beautiful place in Austria in the tw).
fantastic location above the Formarin Sea.The hut team is super friendly and nice.We were a small group with 5 people, they were all highly satisfied and it was certainly not our last visit, since you can quickly become a repeater. the hut was fully booked, the hut team made a well organized impression to satisfy this amount of people. the price performance ratio is absolutely in order. we have wondered about the ample breakfast offer, as we were much less accustomed by other huts. Stopped for a couple of beers after a three hour trek. Terrace overlooks the mountains rather than the fantastic lake on the opposite side, but the sun shines on the mountain side. Service was quick and very friendly.Due to a foresight missed last bus to Lech, meaning a four hour walk to Lech.The waiter who served us was kind enough to tell two guests on their way to their car to give us a lift home, which they did! THANKS!!!!
necessarily we had to stay at the crowded and fully booked cottage. shortly after 7 there was no menu for dinner anymore - just noodle. for a hut accessible by car with a really great deal - very expensive. in the breakfast buffet it is also called the battle of the swabs, but for that is the cheese from the region. the situation is really very beautiful, but it was with certainty our last visit at the hut.
