What can I say about this place to truly convey how exceptional it is? I've had the pleasure of seeing the Mountain Goats perform here three times, and each experience has been the best and most intimate show I've attended. The connection between the performer and the audience is remarkable. I genuinely believe that an impactful indie rock performance is ideal for this venue, though it may not resonate as well with all artists. The closeness to the audience demands personal engagement and a sense of vulnerability from the performer, which makes for a unique and memorable experience.
I travel all around the country following my favorite band. I’ve been to hundreds of different music venues and I’ve gotta say, after one visit to SPACE it ranks as one of my favorites. Not only is the venue itself incredible, but the lovely and welcoming staff there really put my experience over the top. Special thanks to JD for providing shelter for me and my friends from the torrential downpour, and truly going above and beyond by bringing us chairs to sit on and fresh towels to dry off with. I can’t wait for my next opportunity to see a show at SPACE again.
My experience at SPACE as a venue has been top notch. A little context: I work as an audio engineer, so I’ve seen my fair share of sound systems.As soon as I walked through the door I could tell this place was legit. The sound system is very well designed. The sound quality was top notch, and their house engineer got a great mix.This venue is a little bit smaller, but don’t let that fool you. They bring in some fantastic musicians. All around fun vibe, good music, and top quality experience.
Evanston SPACE is an excellent small venue for a variety of musical acts. I have seen world class jazz and blues artists there.The space is comfortable and welcoming. There's a full bar and servers are available or you can get drinks on your own before or after the shows.If there's an act you see on their schedule, don't hesitate to go there. You'll see the performers up close and I'm sure you'll be more than happy with your experience at SPACE.

The restaurant offers a blend of classic flavors along with some more adventurous choices. The interior complements the menu, featuring a primarily classic style with a touch of rustic charm. While the indoor seating is somewhat limited, the nearby park to the north, towards downtown, provides a great option for takeout on busier days.
SPACE is the premier spot for experiencing live music. You'll appreciate the talented artists, the fantastic atmosphere, excellent sound quality, and comfortable seating. Plus, it’s conveniently located just a block away from the El train.
Saw Mike Love play back here. It was a great sound set up and a fun environment to see him. There was plenty of space (eh, space) for the crowd to dance and enjoy themselves. Will definitely keep an eye out for.more shows to come here.
What a venue. Amazing sound, they book great acts and the food is good.If you see a band you like is going to play there, immediately buy a ticket, the intimacy of the tables is great. Thank goodness Evanston has this SPACE. ?

Such a fun and intimate venue to enjoy live music and shows! SPACE is one of my favorite venues in the Chicagoland area for entertainment! Personally, I think SPACE has some of the best shows in the area.
Awesome venue to get a close view of a large variety of live bands and artists! And a great SPACE to meet people!
