"My husband and two young children were made to feel more than welcome. We speak very little German but the guy who works there (with tattoos) and the girl with the red hair were lovely. We had a few dishes and 6 lovely beers! We really enjoyed it , Very relaxed atmosphere, we were the only non German speakers there, (which we love, we seek these places out) fantastic experience. Great value for money €3.90 for a pint of beer, main dish €8-10. easily found from Nordostbahnhof (5 min walk)"

We were advised by our hotel that this was a good restaurant with authentic German food. On arrival my wife asked for a drink in English, to which the server stormed off saying, nee, nee, nee. Came back with an English menu which he plocked on the table and turned around and walked off. I was quite a few minutes before he came back to take our drinks order. The food arrived, and was good quality, but the attitude remained unfriendly and unhelpful. People at the next table helped us order dessert. When we came to pay, the server hinted at a tip. I pretended not to understand, an...
