we came here in 2014 and enjoyed it so that we know again in 2019 that it would be good. it wasn't disappointed. eating is typical Swiss and very good. service is also typical Swiss: good, cozy, attentive without hovering and polite. the atmosphere is...big, with scenic views everywhere you see. we were not particularly hungry, so we shared their sausage (a bratwurst with brown twill engraving and rostis) the meal was wonderful. it was very well prepared, presented in more appealing manner and tasted delicious. for dessert we divided a piece tarte au vin cuit, a local special paste from this special part of the Swiss. vin cuit is pear juice, which was greatly reduced to a consistency like ve...

when they first go to gruyère, they are bombarded with the advertisement for the Gruyère cheese and the la maison du gruyère restairant. nothing against them. but the piousness d’alpage de moléson was the best restaurant I tried in the region. it is very cozy. it's high in the mountains. During the day they have a perfect look at the mountains, the cows, the small houses, the trees, the rocks., eating is carefully crafted. it is delicious and so is the local cheese. the service is great. make yourself a good one and visit this place!

This is up a hill near Gruyere as one has to climb a steep slope with serene atmosphere of greenery all around with cows sitting with bells around the necks and once you go up o the cottage where there is a shop that sells...cheese and souvenirs and behind is the small cheese making factory and demonstration where one can make cheese fondue with wine or water depending on ones taste. There is also dry meat available and soft drinks and wine is complimentary which is a part of the tour. Dr. Javed Rasheed

while we go to the gruyere for fondue, the piousness was an authentic experience in the outdoor alpen restaurant. fondue was light, dried meat well represented and fondue was beautiful and attentive. it helped us to have eaten all the place to ourselves on a weekday! they see they have weeks of brunettes. a great place to lunch when they go next door in the sled!
