Fruition Restaurant

I read multiple positive reviews of this restaurant online and thought that it would be a good last night choice before departing from Denver airport. While this restaurant is acceptable, I felt that the quality of the food was just average. My wife's duck was passable, not exceptional, and my plate was the scallops of which I have had much better. The seating we had was cramped, not quaint, and the plates and bowls were too large for the table space. They do have a knowledgeable and friendly wait staff and a good selection of wines and beer. I am accustomed to a much more flavorful and refined cuisine from a restaurant rated on Open Table.

I did not like our table in the galley where it was very tight and constant staff walking back and forth. I couldn't put my feet on the floor because the metal table legs were right where my feet were. I didn't like that the cheapest bottle of Pinot Noir was dollars. I made reservations weeks in advance and drove hours to eat there. I wish I had a table in the main dining room. The table for four in the back was empty when we got there and they sat what looked like a walk in of people there and the four of us sat in cramped quarters in the galley.

Another great experience at Fruition. Jen has been a terrific addition to the front of house and makes every visit even more special. The octopus appetizer that my husband had was incredible! as was my oyster rockefeller appetizer) My steak entrÃe was perfect, one of the best steaks I have ever had. My husband's lamb entrÃe was top notch as well. The stuffed cherry amuse bouche and starter glass of wine were great touches as well. Martini's were also perfect. What else can I say, this place is perfection...

Food was wonderful. A little pricey. Service was good. However, don't be in a hurry to leave because it takes a few hours to enjoy the food.
