Fryer Tucks Challaborough

These were just awful. The chips were hard and chewy and the fish didn’t even taste like any fish we’ve ever eaten before. My piece of haddock had a huge black hair in the batter. My dad who is 72 said they were the worst fish and chips he had ever eaten in his life. In 72 years that’s a lot of fish and chips. Unfortunately we traveled to get these from our holiday home and if we had dined in, we certainly would have complained. The majority went straight in bin. I understand the place has been open 30 years but think thats because literally it’s the only fish and chip place for miles and is on a caravan site with new guests each week.

We've had a few takeaways from here now and we've loved every meal. The chap that owns it is a lovely man too. Extremely happy with the service and quality of food, the curry sauce is probably the best we've had from a chip shop.

Was fantastic to sit by the beach and have Fish n chips at Fryer Trucks. Fish was definitely fresh and tasted amazing! Would definitely visit here again. Lovely accessible seating area with an amazing view!

great delicious fish and chips, very friendly service. can be gluten-free and can order up to two in a time when they tell them 30 minutes, that is not a problem. they are very busy but super helpful

Gorgeous view eating our freshly cooked fish and chips. Tastiest chippy chips I've had in ages!
