I am extremely disappointed in my experience at Fuel. Although the food is okay (average), the atmosphere and interactions witnessed between the manager and waitress was extremely upsetting. On multiple occasions the manager was heard by the entire restaurant scolding the waitress. Even at a table he proceeded to talk down to the waitress, while including the couple in the conversation, belittling her knowledge of wine. If I could give a negative 5 review I would. We ordered our meals at 1pm and sent our employees to pick it up 20 minutes later. After an hour of being short a crew member I called. I was told that be because we called during their busiest time we should have given them more time. That they couldn’t fast track our order. I didn’t expect them to fast track just that they should have told us that it would be longer so that we could have waited to send a crew member as well as gotten a snack for our diabetic employee. The food was good the little I ate until I got swarmed with fruit flies/gnats it was very off putting and the employees are aware of the issue and apologized, this needs to be addressed as it’s a open kitchen and a health hazard! I paid for my food and left. The manager or at least who I think Is the manager clearly hates his job and his employees based on the way he treats them, I’d be ashamed to call this my business and allow management to treat my employees that way when they are supposed to be the face of the establishment. Worked there. Great little place; aside from the manager, Brandon. I read a few reviews about how he treats employees badly and witnessed it several times. From calling a fellow cook stupid and asking if he was retarded to yelling at a new waitress because she said gotcha when he freaked out that she was slicing lemons too small. A customer pulled me and the waitress aside and offered us jobs on the spot. She was disgusted by his actions. Warm and cozy little wine bistro just off the freeway in Ridgefield. They have a great soup and salad offerings, along with a handful of soup. Service was good. Not super attentive but I did get my second glass of wine so I left happy. Try the turkey avocado club or hipster. Leave some room for dessert. Not a wine fan? this place is just the best. so cute and decorated amazing, server was so helpful and kind. And the food was AMAZING. I got the special that day, which was a barbecue Mac and cheese with bacon, and it was delicious. 10/10 recommend for anyone !
