"Really yummy momos and great service! We had the momo platter and an extra garden salad. All the momos tasted great! :D Would highly recommend if anyone wanted to try this gorgeous little dumplings!"

I expect Funky Momo to be quite popular once people discover it (or am I just biased because I love Momo?!) Between this place and MOM Dumpling House just a few blocks down, Vic Park residents are definitely spoiled for choice when it comes to tasty steamed parcels of deliciousness. It's in the premises formerly occupied by 6101 Tapas Café, which has a small dining area at the front, including some outdoor seating, and then a larger dining room out the back. Funky Momos is a new casual Nepalese restaurant with a variety of different things on their menu. To our surprise there was a dining section out the back which we enjoyed sitting in decorated quite simply with flags and some flower beds. They are not licensed so BYO was great. For 3 people and 2 bottles we paid only $3.75 all up! They were very friendly and gave us a run down of the menu and answered any questions with a smile. Bonne nourriture! Les boulettes étaient incroyables - mon préféré était le journal cuit à la vapeur et le piment, mais le reste était super aussi. La sauce de plongée était délicieuse et contrairement à toute autre sauce que j'avais auparavant. L'agneau et la croquette de poulet étaient si délicieuses! Le goût était exceptionnel! Nous étions allongés dans le dos, qui est une terrasse couverte avec table, chaises, canapés et oreillers décorés de fleurs et drapeaux suspendus. Il y avait une si belle atmosphère et aussi des fans et des messieurs cool! Le service était rapide et sympathique. Je vais certainement revenir!
Great food! The dumplings were amazing - my favourite were the steamed and chilli dumpling but all the rest were great too. The dipping sauce was delicious and unlike any other sauce I have had before. The lamb and chicken curries were so tasty! The flavour was outstanding! We sat out the back which is a covered deck with table, chairs, couches and pillows, decorated with flowers and hanging flags. It had such a lovely atmosphere and also cooling fans and misters! The service was fast and friendly. I will definitely be back!
J'ai adoré ma première visite, alors je suis retourné autre chose pour essayer autre chose, peu déçu de la deuxième visite, comme vous pouvez le voir sur mes photos, dans le bol de tupka avec des pâtes, il y a trop de pétrole. J'ai eu le sentiment que j'ai bu de l'huile et que l'agneau était un peu brûlé à Choiila, cuit à la caisse et à Chili Momos était super. de J'ai essayé Momo Platter et Chow Chowmein lors de ma première visite, les deux étaient délicieuses. de
I loved my first visit so I went again to try something different, little bit disappointed appointed with second visit, as you can see in my pics, in tupka bowl with noodles there is tooo much OIL. I felt like I was drinking OIL and lamb was bit burnt in choila, Steamed and chilli momos were great. I tried momo platter and chicken chowmein in my first visit , both of them were very yummy. I enjoyed the Momos- they were really tasty especially with the sauce. The only thing was the door kept opening which brought cold winds, and the service was quite slow (the momo platter took 40 minutes to come out.) The actual dumplings were excellent- especially the pan fried and chilli ones.
