My wife and I spent our usual alpine walking holiday in Ticino based in Locarno but after some poor experiences especially with the Belvedere last year we decided that it would be safer to book B&B and eat out.This restaurant is about a half hour bus ride from Locarno, so it is reasonably close. On our first visit the weather was somewhat inclement so we sat inside. The greeting was first rate and the service efficient and friendly without being too attentive.Now as for the food it is exceptional, my half roasted chicken was probably the best I have ever eaten and having tasted my wife's veal, it was equally pleasing. This restaurant which overlooks the Lago Maggiore is clearly the best restaurant in town because it was overflowing with guests. If you want to avoid waiting you should make a reservation. The staff are very friendly and took care of us. The standout dish was their homemade gnocchi. It was sublime.
