Galloways, where have you been all my life? Open only on Fridays and Sundays, this place is always bustling with business, which is a surefire sign of quality! They’re known for having the best banana cream pie, and during the holidays, the line stretches out the door. I needed to order a cherry pie, and they did not disappoint. There were so many other tempting treats I wanted to try as well. I've heard the jelly donut holes are simply heavenly. My kids can be picky eaters, so I opted for the butter cookies with chocolate on the back, which are adorable little figures and absolutely delicious. Local bakery that we occasionally go to for birthday cakes, pies to bring over for barbecues, etc. or the occasional donut but had never tried their holiday pies. Since we were cooking for Thanksgiving at my parents and I didn't want to also make dessert, I dropped by the Wednesday before. The store was buzzing, the pies were stacked on shelves, and there was plenty of staff to help. It was quick in and out. Not everyone enjoyed the pumpkin pie unfortunately but I'll still go back for their other goodies and to try the rest of their menu.
Decided to try this spot out for the first time since moving here. There was a long line out the door the day before thanksgiving. I went with the apple crumb pie. The apples were tasty, just a little bit tart and not too sweet. The crumb was very tasty however too sweet for me personally. Overall one of the better pies I've had but the price point is a tad steep with this pie going for $30.
It's the day after thanksgiving, I was foraging through the refrigerator leftovers when I stumbled upon the pie I didn't get the chance to try a piece of yesterday. A chocolate cream pie from Galloways, I am so glad I got to try it today. The whipped cream on top is fabulous and the chocolate cream is not too sweet. The pie crust is perfectly crumbly. So delicious.

Upcharge on thanksgiving day. Went out of my way to come at 7am and they didn’t have one apple pie. Like why even open on Thanksgiving day if you have no Apple pie left and I paid an upcharge fee for old Chocolate cream Pie. $30 down the drain. I’ll make sure I go to a REAL bakery like Marthas today to find REAL pie.

Incredible donuts, pies, crumb buns, and more! This bakery is fantastic and definitely worth a visit if you haven't been yet. Make sure to stop by on a weekend!
