Garmischer Hof - Réservation de table

My wife and I aren't staying in the hotel but decided to try their restaurant because they say they're trying to promote organic ('bio') and local food, and they had some vegetarian options on the menu. J ordered grilled cod In lemon and thyme crust on a baked aubergine on a roesti, and enjoyed it very much. I chose a vegan burger which came with salad in the bun, a sauce possibly based on tofu with paprika and with potato wedges - I'm not vegan but try to avoid egg and cheese overdose. Regrettably I was underwhelmed by my choice. The 'burger' was a very soft probably potato-based croquette without enough taste, bite or texture and the sauce was also bland. Tried eating here but was extremely disappointed. The starter was ok, but the main course was not cooked. I ordered lamb which was clearly frozen and defrosted, and served raw. My partner ordered pheasant which was clearly pink all through and not able to be eaten. The service was good, but the food is a disgrace to serve. Do not go here at all.

Average is a bit too harsh, as the hotel is really ok. But I and friends stayed in the single rooms which are about to be renovated. The beds are done and the lighting is as if you're staying in a fridge.Nevertheless breakfast was alright and overall the location is superb. Lots of restaurants nearby and a good base for a couple of days skiing.

We were in the hotel and firstly overlooked the restaurant until we saw the menu card. Decided to go in for dinner one night and was pleased about the service level, knowledge and food. Just one of those good steady restaurants that do an excellent job every day of the week. Can't go wrong if you are in the area. Réservez une table maintenant

This restaurant is wonderful. The food was great. The service was impeccable. The staff were very nice and made us feel special. We only ate here out of convenience, but now that we have been there, i would go out of my way to eat there again.

We ate at this restaurant twice on a three day stay because the food was fresh and not overly heavy or rich. The menu offered a wide selection. The restaurant was quiet and comfortable with attentive service.

Our group ate breakfast at the hotel and the food was great - there was a lot of variety and everything tasted great. There was so much food available and it is all organic. So tasty

Friendly staff, great rooms, central. Garden rooms peaceful. Dining room for dinner not the cheapest in town but excellent quality service with style Réservez une table maintenant

Menu is organic and I have to admit that they served the best schnitzel I had in my life. Fish that my wife had was good too.

Excellent location. Rooms were clean. Food was excellent. I will be staying here again on my next visit.
