Our friends insisted that we try a Garburger since Paul loves burgers, so today we finally did. Our family of three ordered burgers, fries, and onion rings, and everything was delicious! Our waitress, Carol, was friendly and even started us off with a bowl of popcorn to snack on with our drinks. About 15-20 minutes later, our burgers arrived and they were definitely worth the wait. The food was excellent, the service was great, and the atmosphere was exactly what you would expect from a bar and grill. While the prices were a bit high, we still plan on returning. It's worth making the drive from Port Huron, especially if you take the time to explore the little shops in downtown Marine City.
Gar's burgers are bigger than you think! Three of us ordered cheeseburgers, plus a side of fries. Two of us had to take home half of our burgers and most of the fries because the portions were so generous. The food was not only delicious but also very filling. I understand now why the burgers are served cut in half. The staff is prepared with take-home boxes, so you don't have to worry about leftovers. This place is a hidden gem - definitely more than a 5-star rating, closer to 10 stars!
