We only showed up for a drink; the menu looks short and local. It's a charming place. It looks like it doubles as the village pub when it was full of locals, small children and dogs when we visited. Frankly, people could not welcome more than this lot. The owner and his wife shook our hands and tried to chat we did not speak romance, or German or Italian, and their English was very limited we all mangled through French and the locals all badly us when we left. The local wine was fruity and tender; the environment was simply beautiful. If you are in this part of the world, looking for a funny, authentic spot, that is it.

If you are looking for a place where the Alps still drive in the village, the Surselva and Schlans are there. This is a simple village restaurant with some rooms to rent. Simple local fare, but in an environment that has not yet seen a hurly tourist or tour bus. Bring your own entertainment and enjoy the unique landscape.
