Our family stopped here for dinner on our drive in the Black Forest. The restaurant has old world charm inside and outside. All our meals were delicious. The Champignonshnitzel and Wildschw braten were extra special. Service was excellent, the server was friendly, and the prices...were reasonable. Even though it was a busy Sunday night with many people who appeared to be from the area, our meals arrived quite quickly and the server attended to our requests in a timely manner. If you are in the area, be sure to stop for a meal in this rural setting.
We had a very nice dinner here tonight. Very hospitable hosts and fast service. It was a very busy night with a lot of locals celebrating. The menu has typical German dishes like Schnitzel, Bratwurst and Käsespätzle (vegetarian). But also a cheese and ham plate with slices of bread is one of the options. We had 1 course, with drinks and coffee after for 20 euro per person. Well worth it. Ps. Wednesday and Thursday the restaurant is closed.
You'll have to want to go here, but it's worth the trip. Very friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere make a great meal even better. I went with the pork schnitzel which was the best I've had in Germany. A thick slice of pork in fine breading cooked up just right, served with the delicious yukon gold fries that seem popular in Schwarzwald. My wife went with a spaetzle dish that also dazzled, all for around 20 euros.

We loved our dinners at the place. Our server helped us with the German menu. We chose the venison stew. It was so good! This is obviously a popular restaurant with the local people. Everyone was having a good time. The chef came out to ask us if we liked our meal. We told him it was THE BEST!
Local food of excellent quality. Besides the pork schnitzel there was some beautiful regional food on the menu, varying from beef roulade to pork cheeks. Each dish was a delight. Service was very friendly, not over the top. And the scenery ..... Absolutely beautiful.
Ignore my rating, restaurant is closed until July so don't waste a journey! It looked lovely from the outside set amongst stunning mountain scenery. Pity.

I had a very good pork schnitzel with french fries It was also cheap... so everything was good for me
