Vienna has several hundreds restaurants maybe thousands if we include all the eateries and fast food places in the count so why this particular one? Here my thoughts: it is situated in the forest near/in Vienna. the view is excellent you can see Vienna through the clearing in the forest. the food its lets say simple but nonetheless very tasty and the portions are huge no chance that you leave hungry from this place. it can get crowded but typically you can find a spot to sit. and not the last it is a place that I really like was not the first visit but for sure not the last. location as mentioned on a hillside in the Vienna forest. Restaurant très sympathique, bonne nourriture et belle vue mais attention ils ne prennent pas la CB et est très contraignant parce qu’il n y a aucun appareil de retrait sauf à 10-15min de voiture (par des routes sinueuses). Really nice restaurant on the top of the hill. Really nice view !! The atmosphere of the restaurant is like an old tavern. The food is really good. But be careful they do not accept credit card and it’s really annoying because the only cash machine is 10 minutes by car from the restaurant, on narrow roads (our car got small cracks on the paint because of the road). But overall good experience !
This place is located on the hills overlooking Vienna and offers a most incredible view over the city. Spectacular both during the day and in evening. The entire setting is austrian country house, one immediately feels comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly and forthcoming, and listening to the guests wishes. The food is tasty and delicious, essentially viennese but well beyond Vienna Schnitzel level. The garden is shady, perfect in the summer heat. Only drawback: it is open only Thu-Sun. Particularly during the summer heat this is definitely the place to go.
We wanted to enjoy a sunday afternoon with a great view, but did not feel very welcome there. The waiter was stressed (half restaurant filled), did not want to take our food order directly with the drinks.?.? The soups were almost thrown to us with the comment: “no idea who ordered what” ... waiter did not see that my glass was empty for at least 10mins. However, the food was tasty and reasonable priced. View is amazing!
