Was stationed at Rhieland kasern some years ago and would haunt this pace offen the vager snittel was incredable ( breaded veal cutet with muchroom gravy) id get the fries and usally a tall glass of pilsner beer I really didnt care much for thevager type beers but would drink them as well.They use to have a beer boot that you would drink from till you would reach the ankle area ointing the toe upwards causing the beer to gussel down like a beer bong hit it was a fun time I missed the area so much and plan on returing for a reunion oater with members of 78th engineer bn members ad us Medics ....take care and rember If you fall off the harstool and dont spill a drop it aint Alchol abuse Take c...

We were a group of 5 on business in Karlsruhe staying in the Erbprinz (see previous review - still just as good) and decided to try this restaurant. We had not reserved but were able to get a table - within 30 minutes of our arrival at 19.00 the restaurant was full (usually a good sign). We all had the "Wild" (game) specialities and all dishes were really excellent - well cooked and good portions. The local wines were good and not expensive. A very good atmosphere and very friendly service. To be recommended!

Ordered a regular mixed grill, which is a very basic dish, the taste was nothing exciting. My partner ordered a ragout of game with tagliatelle. Good portion and generous with the meat. We waited about 45 for our food and a few times looked over the kitchen to see when would be our turn. And this was on a Tuesday night! Seems to be famous with locals especially the older generation.

This restaurant was packed with people so a sure sign that it was good, and we were right. Lovely soup starters and mains. Good sauces on the meats and all well cooked and served by friendly staff. Rothous pilsner is also well kept and delicious. A good find and we will be back. Réservez une table maintenant

The restaurant appears nice, the service was good, but the food was not to be eaten. I had the noodles and pork. The porkwas at least of pound of meat but it was only partially-- not good for pork.So did not eat it and only a few noodles.

Traditional South German food ours was excellently cooked, the meat tender and tasty. The owner manager was extremely friendly, well-informed and interesting. Has been running the restaurant for 26 years, he told us.

Very slow service, I ordered duck on salads. The duck was terible I could not chew it. My collegs had trout, it was ok and also the stake was delitious. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Don't expect an exquisite food experience. Food is reasonable. Welcome was amazingly friendly but service after was poor, they don't seem to care about serving and turnover. Réservez une table maintenant

A very good selection of regional dishes, and an additional special menu dedicated to 'Spargel' - asparagus (which is clearly grown in abundance locally).

Sitting by the river, drinking beer and enjoy viewing visitors. The service is very friendly, there are some tables on the bridge as well.
