Gasthaus Siriuskogl

The Gasthaus Siriuskogel is only reachable via a steep footpath, so you get a workout before you can enjoy a great view over Bad Ischl (including cost free visit of the tower on the premises). We had a vegan burger with fries and pea-balls (a bit like falafel) with homemade potato salad which was both delicious! As dessert we both had vegan Pofesen, which is a rare occassion as they are normally not available vegan. They were crispy and tender on the inside, just perfect. Service was really friendly and knew their way around that vegan stuff. That said, I really can recommend a visit to the Siriuskogel!

This restaurant can only be over a mountain rise of approx. 15 minutes will be reached, but after that you will be rewarded with some great views and good food! Guest house Siriuskogl is a rare find, because it offers several completely vegan dishes, something that is difficult to get into Salzkammergut. The menu changes after season, but I could find Hummus, Kichererbsen Curry, Burger and Risotto. They are also able to veganize their pofeses on request, which you will certainly not get in another restaurant in the Salzkammergut!
