The Gasthof Hintere Höfe is located outside the municipality of Freiamt, which is one of the largest municipalities in Baden Württemberg in the district Ottoschwanden when you drive on the L 110 (very winding and therefore with Motobikern very popular towards Streitberg (see also my review to Gasthaus Kreuz, Streitberg, Schuttertal, In a long legal curve when you drive to Streitberg, instead of on the large street playground. In front of and next to the inn there are enough parking spaces for cars and motorcycles (of course also for bicycles! . A few steps will take you to the Gaststube, which is fully furnished and very clean. You can choose whether you want to settle in the area of the counter, or you can find one of the next rooms where you can sit a little quieter and also have a beautiful view of nature. From one of the adjacent rooms you can see the beer garden with subsequent children's playground. Guests are welcomed by the operators and guided to the table. Here you can forget your everyday life and be pampered by the local specialities of the Badish cuisine, from the Black Forest Vesper to the Schlemmerfestessen. All this includes an extensive menu served by friendly staff. And the beauty is, you also get half portions when the hunger is not so big (younger and older plate). In drinks you get the usual, especially I would like to mention the good local wines from the Kaiserstuhl, Orteau and the Markgräfler Land. In the rear courtyards is definitely cooked with love, the products are freshly prepared and taste very good. Another advantage in my eyes is the moderate prices of the food and drinks offered. In the summer months and with good warm weather, a stay in the beer garden shaded by large trees is recommended; but sometimes a fresh wind goes. The children of the children's playground next to the beer garden, where they can strip under the eyes of their parents. For guests who want to stay longer in the picturesque area of the Hinteren Höfe, simple but cozy rooms are available (payable accommodation costs). Rooms can be booked with breakfast, half board or full board. From the Hinteren Höfen you can start many activities during the day, because very centrally located. It is fast in the Europapark Rust, Alsace in France, Basel in Switzerland, Freiburg or Lake Constance; all day tours that can be carried out without pressure and difficulty.
