Gasthaus Weingrill

My Wife and I were on our last day after two weeks in Steiermark. We were there in late September and in driving around in the country we'd been very frustrated because so many restaurants were closed. We wanted one more goulash experience and we stopped here on our way back to Graz from the Kesselfallklamm. I stopped because there were a lot of cars parked so I figured it might be good. Fortunately for us they had goulash on the menu and it was the best we had on our trip. It had an intense rich paprika flavor that was well balanced. The head lady also had some English which was very helpful to us as as well.

We stay at Gasthaus Weingrill every year while traveling to Croatia to stay the night. It is very clean, the beds are comfy and everything looks pretty new. It is located off the highway to Graz, good value for money and quiet surroundings in the woods. The restaurant serves very good Austrian food and the dark beer is delicious. The family is very friendly and service is good. I would give the hotel 4 stars. Excellent!

the gas house weingrill is located in friesach and also has a gas garden. eating (tested only the menu) was completely in order, but nothing exciting. the service is very pleasant and fast. a little overcrowded was the local around the midday time, which can also be due to the fact that a bus arrived parallel to us.

after a hike through the boilerfallklamm a welcome stop on the way back to graz. pleasant dining garden, next to a beautiful obst garden with children's playground. we were promptly served and friendly. to eat: an excellent asparagus beard soup. the grillspiess: rich, solid farm food. altogether highly recommended.

we eten here altijd op doorreis naar slovenië of kroatie. we hebben dead nu toe alleen de schnitzel gegeten, deze zijn lekker en erg groot!
