Allgemein Wir wollten mal wieder ins Kino gehen – unser Enkelkind war dabei. Vorher sollte es noch ein kleines Mittagessen geben. In Bensberg gibt es eine Menge Lokale in der Nähe des „Cineplex“. Warum also nicht mal ein Neues ausprobieren? Die Wahl fiel auf das Gasthaus Wermelskirchen. Es liegt zwischen dem Bergischem Museum für Bergbau Handwerk Gewerbe und Schloss Bensberg. Das ehemalige Restaurant „Fachwerkhaus“ befindet sich (leider leer und verwaist ebenfalls auf dem Weg. Ambiente Das Haus steht unter Denkmalschutz. Von außen sieht es wie ein großes Fachwerkhaus aus. Right large portions, tasty and visually well dressed, the operation pleasant, courteous, flashing, simply nice. The old-style restaurant, cozy with an astonishing outdoor terrace, beautiful medieval farmhouse and since 1884 owned by the Wermelskirchen family, this is something special! Have even surpassed Corona, which meant death for many gastronomics.We will visit the restaurant again though we come from Belgium.
Cosy civic restaurant, gave hot Schnitzel Bergischer Art, can only say very tasty.Before there was a small salad that Schnitzel was a double carving, beforehand you need nix eating as the portion was really big.Parking nearby is free from 6 pm. The staff was friendly and interested in the guests . The restaurant was clean and well visited. A tasty-looking dessert was served, which tasted even better than expected.
Good bourgeois ambience. Unfortunately, the service was totally overwhelmed. Despite previous order, it took more than 1.5 h until the food came. Then in a group very delayed. So the first ones were ready when they got the food. No beverage service. The staff responded to insufficient service. Quality of food OK, but nothing special. I wouldn't visit again.

We were eating at Diana and Udo mussels. So delicious and tasty The menu makes you feel more and I will definitely come back.
