The restaurant is located in Buchheim and not in Tuttlingen, but I can not understand, why the previous user was allowed to rate this restaurant without visiting and to give a bad statement. The restaurant has an old history and is still family owned. The kitchen is German with a good quality and it gives a good overview of the typical local food. The range is wide from a traditional onion steak to the sunday roast pork or different kind of escalope, etc. Also I saw traditional tongue. Which you can only rarely find in German restaurants. The menu contains also traditional dinner, it means cold dishes like at German homes. The service is very friendly and I really like, you can have as the side dish traditional noodles and french fries. You have only to talk to the service. This is how I like the family based restaurants, not following the strict rules. The customers are mixed between local people and foreigners.
Schöne Auswahl an Gerichten und große Portionen für kleines Geld. Gut finde ich auch die Möglichkeit bei vielen Gerichten kleine Portionen betellen zu können. Preis-Leistung ist sensationell: 8 Euro für drei Scheiben Schweinebraten mit Sauce, Gemüsebeilage, einen extra Teller voll mit Spätzle und einem kleinen gemischten Beilagensalat - das ist die kleine Portion. Das Ganze richtig lecker und selbstgemacht. Respekt!Die Schnitzel haben auch toll ausgesehen und die Schupfnudeln sind ein Hammer! Es gibt auch Gerichte wie Zunge, das habe ich seit Jahren auf keiner Karte mehr gesehen. Das Ambiente ist so wie man sich einen Landgasthof vorstellt. Ich komme sicher wieder.
