Visit to Sat 19.11.2016 for dinner Netter reception by untrained staff and friendly reception of the order. ... but only a few references to the dishes not shown on the map, written on distributed mirrors with chalk. The perlhuhn breast and the fish plate were excellent, for this a praise. However, we were NOT asked for further drinks to go to the counter a dessert recommendation came only after postage. During the dessert, the host kept in a clear volume with other guests over cars and blasphemed with other guests over their clientele. As a guest we were not taken note of. The bill came quickly upon request: a sign with the bill was banged on the table... and the host was already intensivel...
Good food. Our table stood in half dark.3 different bulbs in a lamp, from bright to barely perceptible. The staff is dedicated to friendliness,but totally overwhelmed and unplanned. The drinks came fast, but they weren't correctly turned off and not asked who gets what. The food itself was not brought at the same time as the first dishes were already lukewarm before we could start together. The plates were also set off without plan. Empty and excess glasses were not cleared from the table,so that it went very cramped. The food itself was ok, but it lacked sauces and the supplements were almost the same at every dish. We didn't want to go to this restaurant because there was no English menu, or someone else spoke English. But when the restaurant we chose was closed, we did a chance and well. Owners despite language barrier was very attentive and ready to help.... Fortunately menu favorites were written on a large pictures (mirror) hanging on the walls, so we worked out what to order. Food was really good quality and interesting in combination and preparation. We had 3 different meals (also carving naturally) and all were good the money and the time we spent there. Good beer, too. By the way. Ettenheim is a hidden gem. Nice little town.
Dear Lion Team, we (Swiss from the Aargau) today on the way home from Hockenheim spontaneously went to Ettenheim and arrived at you by chance. The tomb from the kitchen just superfine, my partner ass salad with beef strips and I had asparagus with scratches, I didn't know but was great. Superlecker! Cooked: carpaccio of beef, salad plate with fish, chop steak with vegetables. Finely decorated sauces, perfect vegetables, crispy roast. Operation friendly and very competent from the boss, furnishings pleasant, drinks and food came very quickly. The card is small but good and offers good compilations. For quality, I would also wait a little longer if the place is fully occupied. Very recommended.
Wonderful, fresh, good bourgeois cuisine in a rustic half-timbered house of the baroque Ettenheim old town. Very friendly service and many current daily meals with a clear menu that speaks for freshness and quality. At any time, from the calfs Cordon bleu to the calfsrückensteak to the lambslachsen, everything is first-class!
