"For Sunday lunch, my friend's family invited me to the Gasthaus Zum Veitsberg Hagel. I already knew this place from a previous visit, but this has been back for so long that I can just remember it. So it felt like a first visit. Unfortunately, I missed taking photos. Maybe this can be done on another occasion. Location Ambience and Cleanliness On the south side of the Veitsberg lies the small, sloping village of Dittersbrunn. Not even a hundred inhabitants live in the tranquil place. But at least there is a guest house. The Gasthaus zum Veitsberg offers Franconian cuisine. Under the week in the evening there are mainly bread times, on Sunday roast yes, the plural of roasts is actually also roasts, I have just found out by Google . Inside there are two guest rooms where around 35 people each find room and which were completely booked at the time of our visit. So a reservation is necessary. The institution has come into the years and you can see that. On the walls hanging grazing, a few pictures as well as photos and documents. The whole thing has a lovingly thrown together, expediently and doesn't spray any original charm. Since the kitchen was next to the room where we sat, and the door was constantly open to the same, the clothes then smelled strongly to food. The guest room was clean, the toilets were not visited. Two stars for location and ambience, just four stars for cleanliness. Service When we entered the host house at 11.30 a.m., we were asked to enter the next room. We had to look for our reserved table on the basis of a name bear. Otherwise, the services were friendly and flotted. The menus of two cards for six people are a little bit, however, and drinks have been brought quickly. There was nothing to put on my cola wheat 0.5l for 2 euros. Alcohol-free drinks cost 1.80 euros. I didn't think that the dishes were time-settled. A quick eater would have been ready while the last meal hadn't even been on the table. This is hardly a mistake of operation, but rather an organizational problem of the kitchen. But on Sunday afternoon I find the same food especially important. I fluctuate between three and four stars for the service. That's why I'm just taking out the nausea and I'm going to forgive half stars. On Sunday afternoon, the menu consists of 6 or 7 fryers with clot, sauce, blue wort and partly salad. Prices are around 6 euros. It's really good. In addition, there are carvings with pommes with side salad. For incredible 5,50 euros. Vegetarian dishes and starters or desserts are in vain. Because after lunch I felt like sweets, I had bad cards. The food I ordered a pork roast with clot and hosting for 5,30 euros!!! The food came after about 25 minutes and was nicely hot. From the size of the portion I was particularly surprised at the price. On the plate, to three slices of pork boobs two huge lumps settled. The hosting was done in an extra bowl. Tastefully, the food was all around good, even if a bit of lovelessly clapped on the plate. The pork roast had a neat layer of fat and a crispy crust. Just like I like it. The pals were just as delicious. The sauce was the broth of broth in which the pork roast is prepared. I like that too. Not as in other parts of Bavaria Germany a dark sauce. The hosting was nice and well tasted. I would have liked to have had a little more. Not because the hosting itself was too little, but simply too small compared to the portion of the rest of the court, and I therefore had no more hosting for the last half clot. All in all, the pork roast reminded me very much of the one I used to enjoy every few weeks at my grandma or now still at my mother. The other five people were also satisfied with their food. The carving with pommes and supplement salad for 5.50 euros is in no way in the size of the portion and is therefore also very lush. My girlfriend made her hunter's roast her only criticism that she didn't find the sauce a bit too watery and let him pack it in. As a container, the operation chose an empty, clean mustard, sealed with aluminum foil. Something unappetic as I find. Good four stars for dinner. Price Performance Relationship and Conclusion In the Gasthaus Zum Veitsberg you can eat in french and indecent. The price performance ratio is overwhelming. Full five stars. We paid a total of 48 euros for six lunches, six drinks and a cappuccino. I strongly recommend this place for Sunday dinner with the family. With friends, girlfriend or chic eating you should of course go somewhere else. 4 – happy again 1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – definitely back to kitchen trip"
