We read the other trip advisor reviews about this restaurant and tried to go our first night in town, a Sunday, but it was closed. We went back Monday night and we're not disappointed. We walked in, early for European standards, and were welcomed and offered a table towards the back. Our fist impression was warm, but we we still unsure. That melted away quickly when we were served and treated warmly, like family. We ordered our drinks and meal and our infant son was getting impatient. When our meals arrived the owner, or woman in charge, took our son in her arms and walked around the restaurant with him until one of us was done eating. An enjoyable experience for us and a kind proprietor mad...

We walked in with a baby, not knowing what to expect. The high chair was not in excellent condition, but as soon as our food was served, the owner picked up the baby and walked him around the restaurant til one of us was finished eating! Very friendly and accommodating service. And the food was excellent. I had "Grandfather's 3-legged stool" - three skewers of deep fried mushrooms, bacon and turkey, served with lovely roast potatoes and a bit of salad. Very flavourful and hot. Most of the people walking into this restaurant stopped to shake hands with the owner - a very good sign in my books.

We ate here on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews. Arriving without a booking, we were seated immediately. We both chose from the seasonal menu and had a delicious venison ragout. The atmosphere was relaxed and traditional, the restaurant being far enough from the centre to not be too thronged with tourists.
