When we made our reservation over the phone, we were treated very rudely. Even at the agreed time, we were left standing with a rude greeting and only shown to our table after a few minutes. So, we finally had a face to the aforementioned phone call. The food was very good. We were very satisfied. The service also slowly became friendlier over the course of the visit. This was our second time here. The food is good, but the way the customers treat them is completely awful. The first time, I was rudely told to please state the number when ordering, not the dish I wanted. Other guests who wanted to come in for dinner were yelled at when they asked if they could pay by card: Cash only! And today, the icing on the cake: My question about whether I could eat with my partner didn 't seem to suit the owner... Her rude reply: Reservations? No reservation, no food! That was definitely the last time; my advice was generously ignored.
The lady complains bitterly. She's also very strict with customers if they don't immediately and clearly state their order (the dish number on the menu). We were a bit tired after a full day of driving, so we didn't score any points with her. However, the food was very good. The schnitzel is freshly pounded, and the fries were truly above average. The price is acceptable for the food, but a bit high for the service and atmosphere (campsite restaurant).

Four of us, including a child, visited the Schnitzelhaus. The couple who run it put a lot of effort into the food. All four meals were excellent and more than sufficient. The seating is outside, but that's not a problem. The seating area is covered and warmed by a heater. Our friends eat there every year and are always thrilled. As are we. We will be back. If you're desperate for an unfriendly and derogatory greeting, this is the place to go. We wanted to go out to eat without a reservation, and there was only one table occupied in the restaurant, but we were literally rushed off; without a reservation, you won't get anything. Oh, and by the way... cash only, nothing else is accepted! The food is good, but we'll never go back after this kind of treatment!
Would you recommend it? Unfortunately, not. The service isn't very friendly, the food is mediocre, but the prices are quite high. I don't usually care about Google reviews, but in this case, I have to agree with the others... I recommend going somewhere else...
The food and drinks are top-notch as always. We've been coming back to the Schnitzelhaus for years when we vacation on Fehmarn. The service has always been friendly, and I can't understand some of the negative reviews at all. We'll be happy to come back!

Bring plenty of time! There were only four tables occupied. The waitress gave us our menus but never came back. We left after 20 minutes.
There's nothing here without a reservation. Too bad.
