The Old Florida Sampler is a must try. It is tasty, crispy and included fried frog legs, cat fish and alligator bites that can be shared for two people. The frog legs will be memorable since they were my favorite thing on the plate. Not only were the frog legs perfectly cooked and succulent, it also had the best breading I have ever had. The gator bites were tender and had some mild spice to them so if you don't like spice then I do not recommend ordering this. The catfish was flaky. The home made tartar sauce wasn't your typical tartar but was an even better version of it. The swamp sauce is a horseradish based sauce. None of the seating has air conditioning, this is an open air restaurant...
This is the ultimate culinary experience on the water in Florida! Our server, Sarah, was incredibly gracious, courteous, and funny. We truly enjoyed being at their establishment. The menu featured Florida-inspired options such as gator, frog legs, and catfish. After indulging in appetizers, we wish we had saved room for dessert next time! And there will definitely be a next time! Oh, and we were fortunate enough to catch karaoke night, where some customers were exceptionally entertaining. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
We were joined by some parties of 6 or more. The kitchen had problems to maintain first and leave one of our people without their gut while all others ate. Very big menu. Food is generally good. Today the chicken in the Cobb Salad was dry to eat. Sent Beck for a fresh chicken breast. Build-a-burger was good as the muscles. Chocolate cake and cheesecake were very good. How many places nearby they are underoccupied, so be patient. The outdoor bar is a great place to enjoy the sunset on the shores of Lake Eustis.
This place is a hidden gem! When we first pulled in all I could see was the sign and some trailers. I thought it seemed like a sketchy place, but once we sat down you could feel the fun vibe! There was live music, which was very entertaining! The food was delicious!! My husband tried the gator po boy and I had the Buffalo chicken salad We had portobello mushrooms fries to start and they were also very yummy! Definitely recommend this place! We had a really good experience at Gator bays. We have been looking for a place in lake county that had wings that we liked and wasn't happy with the places we tried. The wings here were awesome, I recommend the secret swamp sauce. We met some friends there. The service was great and to top it off it was karaoke night and it was very entertaining.. anyway if you are looking for awesome wigs this is the place
Comfortable place on the water. I went in not expecting much, but the food is good. Burger great, fried okra crispy and awesome, chili cheese fries were yummy (just needed more of that great chili on them , and the seared tuna was decent. Good food for the money and atmosphere. This is my new spot. Just get me WIFI access for my laptop, and I will come in more for lunch during the week. :
Worst and slowest service! Took 30mins for anyone to come over and take drink order. Another 30 to get 4 waters and 2 beers. Another 25 minutes to get 2 appetizers, and not the correct order. Tried to explain to, we were told it was the owners daughter, about the situation, and she was rude. Basically said to us, do you have something to tell me or are you just complaining!
