However, as we were the last customers to leave due to arriving late, things took a turn for the worse. Japanese restaurant located in Legacy Shops. We were able to get a table on a Thursday evening without a wait when several other places in the plaza were booked. I guess this is a small chain with five locations in the Boston area. The menu concentrates mostly on sushi, with a few entrees. 18 year old and I ordered several items to share. My favorites were the summer roll and the salmon torch roll. The hotate kaiyaki, kind of like a dynamite in a shell, was rich and tasty. Was not a fan of the beef skewer, as it was fatty. This restaurant has gone downhill since my previous dinning experience. The food was not appealing it was mediocre to say the least. We felt rush to eat and pay. To make matters worse while we’re eating udon noodles a restaurant staff decided to expectorate a glob of phlegm from the back of the throat. This was disgusting and repulsive. I can now understand why I got sick to the food. I will not be coming to this establishment needless to say the price on the menu does not reflect what was on the check. This was by far the worse dinning experience. Let me add that it was disappointing to see nats swarming around our table while trying to eat. I will be avoiding this restaurant like a plague!
Definitely one of my favorite sushi places considering I do not eat seafood or meat. It has selected vegetarian options, but in my opinion they are pretty good compared to other places in town. Most of the locations are small and cozy, except for the Boston location. Parking is plenty and location is convenient. The service is very good. My favorite items to order are Miso soup Yasai Gyoza Sweetie Roll my favorite Hawaii Roll 2nd favorite Order the gyoza sauce instead of soya sauce and have your sushi with that. the sauce is delicious.

My experience at Genki Sushi was disappointing. My group of five stopped in for a quick sushi meal during our shopping trip, but we were informed by our server, Tina, that we had to spend at least $15 per person to be served. We ordered a total of three sushi dishes, which we thought would be enough for a quick meal. However, this policy left us with a negative impression and we do not plan on returning anytime soon. Great sushi and they have good lunch deals. I went with a friend and tried to split a lunch meal, but they have a minimum of $15 per person so they made us add on more food to our order. Genki is our go-to sushi spot in Dedham. The food is always reliably delicious and fresh, having ordered take out from here many, many times! I've tried the sushi, maki, special rolls, noodle dishes, and other cooked entrees from the kitchen and I've never been disappointed!

I ordered my food to go and the sushi was very stale although I ate it immediately after purchasing and waited at the restaurant for it to be made. I was highly disappointed. I've always had good experiences here so it might've been an off day, idk
