One of the owners, who is also a waiter, was extremely rude to us. It wasn’t the first time, but since the food is so good and we were in the area, we decided to pop in for some dinner. Instead, we were berated and reprimanded for asking a simple question about seating. There was not a single customer in the restaurant and the owner still turned us away for wanting to sit on the patio. By the way, if you have tables and chairs outside, people are going to think it’s a patio. Regardless, there are better ways of speaking to people-especially those who’ve recommended this place-and then there is plain rude. Picked this restaurant because of all of the positive reviews posted here, all I can say is that they were right on. This place is fantastic. The service was outstanding. Our waiter described the entire menu to us in detail and made some excellent suggestions. When you go here you have two options, one is to choose items off the sharing menu (which is what we did), or two order a full meal off of the blackboard menu. My wife who is not as an adventurous eater as I am found all of the selections to be outstanding. Also, when going here definitely have the Orange wine. Que surpresa deliciosa. Estávamos procurando um jantar mais cedo (tipo 18:00 e nos deparamos com Geo Wine e Supra. Entramos sem nenhuma ideia do que esperar. Vinho georgiano (quem diria? e tapas de fusão portuguesa/georgiana! Ambiente agradável, ótima trilha sonora e o atendimento foi muito simpático. O servidor nos deu sabores de três vinhos georgianos diferentes para que pudéssemos escolher o que gostávamos. Pedimos o prato de queijo, o pão (que veio quente e o Croquete de Frango, mas antes deles nos serviram um pequeno aperitivo de bochechas de porco, cogumelos e kimchi. Delicioso. Tanto queijo. Ótimo pão. E o croquete foi incrível. Ah, sim, estaremos de volta.
This is my 8th city in Portugal this week and I had resigned myself to mediocre food. Until today. This is definitely the best Georgian food I’ve ever had, and this just might be the best restaurant in Portugal. Every single item was interesting, different, and incredibly delicious. This restaurant alone is worth a trip to Caldas da Raina. Réservez une table maintenant
this is our third trip and would recommend the restaurant as an exceptional culinary experience. we had again prepared amazing eating with all homemade and the highest standard. the variety of food and wine influenced by the Georgian earthquake is something we never had. we're coming back!
